ABOUT

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work explores the creation of spaces for reflection within the accelerated pace of contemporary life. In a world defined by constant sensory overload and external pressure, I am interested in moments of stillness that allow people to reconnect with their inner emotional landscape.

Rooted in street art, my practice embraces both the public space and the studio as places of intervention and introspection. Painting becomes a meditative process through which inner experiences are translated into visual form. By bringing these internal states onto canvas and into shared urban environments, my work opens a dialogue between personal experience and the collective space we inhabit.

At the heart of my practice is the visibility of emotional presence. Rather than focusing on outward appearance or fixed identity, the figures and atmospheres within my work seek to reveal moments of vulnerability, silence and psychological depth. Through these visual narratives, I hope to create encounters in which viewers recognize aspects of their own emotional reality.

By embedding intimate emotional gestures within shared public spaces, I aim to create temporary places of quiet where reflection, empathy and self-awareness can emerge.

BIOGRAPHY

Fatin Rahmouni is a contemporary German artist whose practice centres on painting. Building on a background in graphic design, she has developed a distinctive visual language in which expressive figuration meets psychological depth, exploring themes of emotional presence, vulnerability and human connection.

Working from her studio in southern Germany, Rahmouni creates paintings inhabited by recurring figures that have become a defining element of her artistic practice. Rather than representing fixed identities, these characters function as emotional archetypes. Through colour, rhythm and intuitive composition, they invite viewers to reflect on the complexities of contemporary life.

Alongside her studio practice, Rahmouni has completed numerous public art commissions and has presented her work in galleries, institutions and at international art fairs. Her work is held in private collections.
